This hands-on workshop involves participants engaging with sustainability-focused practical activities aligned with the high school chemistry curriculum and drawn from systems thinking and sustainable chemistry outreach programs. Presenters will share implementation experiences across educational contexts and connect the activities to the IUPAC Guiding Principles of Responsible Chemistry, highlighting how systems-thinking approaches support ethical, responsible chemistry education. Participants will also engage with findings from a recent global teacher survey on green and sustainable chemistry practices.
Note: Participants will be conducting chemical experiments, so please appropriate clothing and shoe wear. Safety glasses and gloves will be provided where needed.
Capacity: This workshop can hold up to 25 participants to maintain an interactive and hands-on learning environment.
