Workshop 2: Reimagining Chemistry Education with Artificial Intelligence: From Prompt to Presentation

This workshop is structured to provide participants with both a theoretical and practical understanding of AI integration, focusing on three interconnected areas: the evolution of AI and its educational implications, prompt engineering for learning design, and AI-supported presentation and visualization tools. The first section provides a brief historical overview of AI, tracing its development from early expert systems to modern generative models. The second section introduces prompt engineering—the emerging skill of crafting effective inputs that guide AI systems to produce pedagogically useful outputs. In the third section, the workshop shifts focus to AI-driven tools for creating dynamic and engaging presentations.

Note: This workshop follows a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops or tablets to actively engage with AI-based applications during the session.

Capacity: This workshop can hold up to 20 participants to maintain an interactive and hands-on learning environment.
