Chemistry Teacher International: Best Practices in Chemistry Education (CTI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Committee on Chemistry Education of IUPAC and supported by the Division of Chemical Education of EuChemS. The journal aims to provide a platform for chemistry educators at all levels, with a particular focus on researchers in chemistry education.
The journal’s objectives are:
- to bridge the gap between research and education, and
- to establish an international journal not limited to a specific field or nation.
CTI is indexed in leading international databases, including the Web of Science – Emerging Sources Citation Index Expanded (ESCI) and SCOPUS and classified among Q2 journals.
This workshop seeks to bring together Editorial Board Members and potential authors to facilitate face-to-face interaction. The workshop will cover the following topics:
- a meeting with the Editorial Board Members,
- an introduction to the aims and scope of CTI, types of manuscripts accepted, and future policies,
- sharing essential information about the journal (indexing and citations, statistics for content and coverage, etc.),
encouraging chemistry educators to publish in CTI to promote knowledge sharing on effective teaching methods in all levels of chemistry,
- presenting the submission and review processes, as well as the open-access policy and APC payment, including the APC waiver policy from DeGruyter Brill,
- introducing the CTI special issue on the ICCECRICE 2026, and
- a question-and-answer session with discussion.
