The previous ICCE and ECRICE conferences took place in Istanbul. This time we intend to move to the east of Türkiye. Erzurum is a city established in the northeast part of Türkiye with more than thousands of years of education history. It has easy access to the Erzurum International Airport, the city centre and Palandöken Ski Center which has several hotels ranging from 4* to 5*. Currently, the city is home to two public universities. Atatürk University, founded as a land-grant university in 1957, is one of the largest public universities as well as among 20 public research universities in Türkiye. It consists of 23 faculties, 12 colleges, 8 graduate schools and more than 40 research centers. It is a home for more than 70.000 on campus and more than 400.000 distance education students. The University is based in Erzurum city, one of the largest cities in Eastern Anatolia with more than 9.000 international students from more than 80 countries. Atatürk University has been serving as a hub of educational and cultural excellence not just for the Türkiye but also internationally. The university also has four guest houses with more than 200 beds available on the main campus with catering facilities.
Atatürk University has several chemistry-related departments such as chemistry, chemical engineering and chemistry teacher training. The university has easy access to the city. The city has several cultural and historical places to see. In addition, the climate in July, with an average temperature of 20 oC, would be best for hosting people from all around the World. The university has the capability and experience in organizing small, medium and large-scale national and international conferences either face-to-face or online all year round. The university has all kinds of infrastructure, services and human resources to organize conferences. The administration of Atatürk University is happy to collaborate with the Turkish Chemical Society to organize the ICCECRICE 2026.
