Symposium 7: Challenges and Opportunities of Chemistry Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

This symposium invites scholars, educators, and practitioners to share research findings, innovative practices, and critical perspectives on the applications of AI in chemistry teaching and learning. We particularly welcome contributions that explore inquiry-based AI learning environments, epistemic and cognitive impacts on chemistry learners, AI-supported curriculum and assessment design, and theoretical or methodological advancements. Together, we aim to illuminate emerging possibilities and challenges, stimulate dialogue across disciplinary boundaries, and chart productive directions for chemistry education in the era of artificial intelligence.
