The ICCECRICE 2026 Conference provides a unique networking opportunity for participants from all around the world. To facilitate these interactions, the social program includes a Welcome Reception on Monday evening (13 July), an Erzurum City Excursion on Wednesday afternoon (15 July), and a Banquet (for paid participants) on Thursday evening (16 July). The Welcome Reception will be held at the Biodiversity Science Museum of Atatürk University. Participants find the experience of visiting the museum an enjoyable way to network. Furthermore, the breaks provide a forum for all attendees to network and exchange ideas.
During the course of the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to visit several museums at the university including the Ice Artworks Museum, the Art Museum, the Hurufat Printing History Museum, the Agriculture Museum and the Ata Botanical Garden.
There will be an opportunity to visit the Eastern Anatolian Observatory (DAG) for a group of a maximum of 30 people on Wednesday (15 July) afternoon, based on a pre-booked option. Please be advised that the tour will take a minimum of three hours, including transportation to the observatory. You need to register for the tour during the conference. The transportation fee is 500 TRY.
The observatory is situated at an altitude of 3170 metres. Please be advised to prepare for cold weather conditions and possible challenges related to breathing.
